The surface matters as much as the image. At the moment, the oil is still soft to the touch. Over time it will harden and settle, but right now it feels as though the painting is still becoming itself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThat sense of growth and change is part of the work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt exists not just as an image, but as a physical object, with weight, texture, and presence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThere is a suggestion of water, perhaps moonlight, perhaps distance. Nothing is fully resolved.
