Not consciously planned, but persistent enough to remain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eI have often found myself drawn to eyes. Perhaps because they sit at the threshold between looking and being looked at.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThere is a slight discomfort in the image. The surrounding flesh feels exposed, almost as though the eye has been lifted from its setting. That tension was never forced, only recognised once it appeared.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe work does not carry a fixed meaning for me. If anything, it feels more instinctive than symbolic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eYet perception, fragility, and awareness seem to circle quietly within it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cb\u003eAbout the work\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eSmall pieces often allow for a different kind of attention.
