One Way to Put It
We say things all the time without really thinking about them.
I hope you are well.
Do I need to attend this meeting?
I thought there would be more time.
One Way to Put It is a series of original abstract paintings combining fragments of everyday language with colour, texture and gesture. Removed from their original context, familiar words can become funny, uncomfortable, ambiguous or unexpectedly poignant.
Some of the phrases are mundane. Some carry a more personal meaning. But what they mean when you encounter them on a painting is ultimately up to you.
