A phrase so familiar that we barely notice it anymore.

Part of my One Way to Put It collection, this original abstract painting takes an everyday fragment of language and removes it from its usual context. Written quietly across a dark, layered abstract surface, the words can feel sincere, automatic, awkward or even slightly ominous.

The series explores what happens when ordinary things we say, write and think are isolated and given space to mean something else.
