“I think I missed something.”
A familiar feeling, but not always an easy one to explain.
Part of my One Way to Put It collection, this original oil painting places an everyday phrase among a scattering of reflective spheres. The words curve across a textured surface of greens and blues, weaving between the circular forms.
The sentence could suggest a missed detail, a misunderstanding or the feeling that something important has passed us by. The spheres offer glimpses of something reflected, but never quite reveal the whole picture.
The series explores what happens when ordinary things we say, write and think are isolated and given space to mean something else.
